One of the sons of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi former have survived, had been arrested by the Niger authorities. At present she is under house arrest.
Saadi Gaddafi was previously known to reside in Niger since last September, following his father’s fall from a chair Libyan leadership. He had been granted asylum by the Government of Niger.
But in the end the Niger ordered the detention of him after he commented that the new movement taking place in Libya today. Niger parties themselves can not comment on the words of Saadi.
Begins with a complaint against the arrest of the Government of Libya which is currently held by the National Transitional Council (NTC). NTC judge’s comments in an interview with Al Arabiya television, the breach of the terms of the granting of asylum is granted by the Niger.
“Saadi use the asylum he earned from Niger to launch an aggression against the Libyan people. Yet Saadi granted asylum on humanitarian grounds,” said NTC spokesman Mohammed al-Nasr Hraizi.
NTC government immediately protested against Niger Niger and asked the authorities to take tough measures against Saadi. The measures include Saadi asked Niger to extradite back to Libya.
In an interview with Al Arabiya, Saadi claimed to still relate to some Gaddafi loyalists and ready to organize resistance against the new government of Libya.
“I urge all citizens to prepare for a new resistance. Because when resistance occurs, will take place outside of regular meal,” said Saadi while doing an interview with Al Arabiya.
The demand side is done in Libya when they were about to celebrate the revolution of Libya on 17 February. Managed to depose the power of this revolution that has led Libya’s Gaddafi for 42 years.
However, this celebration is also guarded by the Libyans. They face the threat of Gaddafi loyalists who spread rumors that the new movement will occur in oil-rich country.
Libya’s top military leaders General Youssef Mangoush ensure there is no immediate threat of revolution anniversary celebrations. But he insisted that the government would take strict measures to prevent the outbreak of a new revolution, a group led by Gaddafi loyalists.
When his father was still in power, Saadi Gaddafi is known as a businessman and had led the Libyan Football Association.
Libyan authorities now accuse Saadi has made abuse of power and intimidation against citizens of Libya and the Interpol had already issued an arrest warrant against him.
